Chameleon – Your new Android Home Screen

Chameleon by Teknision has recently reached its goal of $50,000 on Kickstarter and it still currently has 8 days to go at the time of writing.

Chameleon is a game changer for any Android tablet running OS 3.2 and up. It will automatically change the appearance of your home screen depending on what time of day, the wireless network you are connected to. Eventually it will also use facial recognition to check who is using the tablet and change the home screen accordingly.

The great thing about all of this is that Teknision is a Canadian based company out of Ottawa. It is great to see a game changer for android coming out of Canada.

Teknision is currently in talks with some manufacturers to try to get their software pre-loaded on to some manufacturers tablets.

This software has a tentative launch date of August/September of 2012. If you would like to get a copy before it is released, all you have to do is pledge $5.00 to their project on Kickstarter and you are promised an advanced copy before it is released on Google Play.
